Dr. Han Han (Shenzhen University, Ph.D. in Design from Polimi) and her research team from China, has been  dedicated to conduct a series of studies on the Networks of Design Cities, and released “The Sustainable  Development Report of City Design Weeks” in global scale, with the network support of WDW (World  Design Weeks). During Milano Design Week · CHINA&DESIGN@Zona SARPI, Dr. Han and her team brings  their newly published book “THE DESIGN ENGINES”, and introduces the phased results of their research  project updated this year—the development strategies of the world Design Cities with case analysis of  50+ cities worldwide across three major global design city networks (UCCN, WDC, WDW). Based on the key  initiatives raised by the research, an open dialogue is nourished in this session between scholars and the  representatives of the design cities with innovation practices, together to explore sustainable development  issues under the new global paradigm—“City of Design, City with Design, and City as Design.”
