Under the initiative of “Design to Wonderland”, this opening forum organized by Shanghai Design Week invites representatives from both Chinese and Italian design sectors to delve into the diverse development ecology and design culture of the Chinese and Italian design industry. The forum will particularly look into how design can empower the consumer industry, how to connect designs from China with the international markets, and explore future collaborative prospects between China and Italy in the field of design.

ABOUT SHANGHAI DESIGN WEEK

In 2010, Shanghai joined the UNESCO Creative Cities Network and was awarded the title of “Creative City of Design". SHANGHAI DESIGN WEEK(SHDW) made its first debut in 2022. It is a pivotal milestone not just for an ambitious urban development initiative for Shanghai but also a testament to the vital importance that design as a new primary driver plays for the evolution and resilience of our global city. Organized and guided by the Shanghai Municipal Commission of Economy and Information Technology, SHDW will be performing as a multidisciplinary design event organizer that fosters and celebrates the industrial transformation of excellent designs and an integrated design platform that visualizes an inclusive, innovative and integrated city of Shanghai.
