Forum Theme: "Rebirth" - Towards Future Spatial Renewal and Innovation

Theme Statement: Against the backdrop of increasingly severe global climate change, carbon neutrality has emerged as a critical agenda item for building a sustainable future. This forum will focus on the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals for 2030, specifically addressing carbon neutrality. Discussions will explore effective measures under current circumstances to achieve carbon reduction, absorption, and storage, thereby promoting global greenhouse gas emission reduction and climate change mitigation. Spatial renewal and innovation are paramount. Under the theme "Rebirth," this event will examine the directions and possibilities for future spatial renewal and innovation. We will concentrate on how innovative thinking and technological applications can reshape spaces to better meet the needs of future societies while striving for sustainable development.

This includes innovative cases and practical experiences in areas such as smart cities, sustainable architecture, TOD green transportation, and the creation of halo environmental spaces.

Theme Dialogue: Establish a thematic dialogue environment to delve into discussions centered around the theme "Rebirth." Together, explore the paths and strategies for future spatial renewal and innovation, exchange experiences, and viewpoints.


Event Objectives

The first is to explore new concepts, technologies, and trends in global future spatial renewal and innovation. This aims to facilitate exchange and collaboration among experts and scholars from different fields, thereby promoting innovative development. The second is to provide a platform for showcasing innovative achievements and sharing experiences within the industry, fostering resource sharing and collaboration. Forum Convener

Wang Zhijun

Senior Engineer, National First-Class Constructor, Director of the Center for Environmental Art Studies at the Institute of Land and Spatial Planning Design, Peking University, Initiator of the International Friendly Halo Environmental Spatial Alliance (Preparatory), Supervisor of the Beijing City Illumination Association, Expert of the Beijing City Illumination Association, has long been committed to design events, industry promotion, international exchanges, and the promotion of international friendly halo environmental space construction. He has successively led and completed projects including the National Stadium (Bird's Nest) for the 2008 Beijing Olympics, the National Aquatics Center for the 2008 Beijing Olympics, the Headquarters of China National Chemical Corporation, the Headquarters of China Ocean Shipping Group, and the Xiong'an New Area Urban and Rural Management Service Center.


Sun Qun

Formerly served as the China partner for RCS, the largest media conglomerate in Italy, and as the publisher of the Chinese edition of the renowned architecture and design magazine ABITARE. From 2011 to 2016, he held the position of General Manager at Beijing International Design Week Operating Company. In addition to overseeing the official activities of Beijing Design Week, he also coordinated various large-scale events such as the Venice Architecture Biennale China Pavilion (2014, 2016, 2018), "The Giant Rubber Duck in Beijing" (2013), "Barcelona God Horse" (2014), "Miffy Rabbit" (2015), and "Thousand Rabbits Gazing at the Moon" (2015), by integrating social resources. Since 2016, he has represented Beijing International Design Week as an International Executive Committee member of the World Design Week City Network (WDW). In 2018, he founded Suzhou International Design Week and served as Vice Chairman of the Executive Committee and General Manager of the Operating Company. In 2021, he established Hainan International Design Week and assumed the role of Chairman of the Operating Company. In 2011, he was awarded the "Star of Benevolence" Knight Medal by the President of Italy.


Guest Attendee

Ni Yang

Director and Chief Architect of the Architectural Design Research Institute Limited Company at South China University of Technology. He is a National First-Class Registered Architect, holds a Ph.D. in Architecture, and has been a visiting scholar at Harvard University. He is also a doctoral supervisor and a researcher. He was honored as a leading figure in innovation and entrepreneurship in Tianhe District in 2020.

He serves as the President of the Guangdong Provincial Architectural Association, Chairman of the Environmental Art Professional Committee of the Guangdong Civil and Architectural Society, Vice Chairman of the Lingnan Architecture Academic Committee of the Architectural Society of China, and Chairman of the Planning and Architecture Professional Committee of the Guangzhou Construction Science and Technology Committee. He is also a Standing Committee Member of the 11th and 12th sessions of the Guangdong Provincial Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference and a Central Committee Member of the 13th and 14th sessions of the China Democratic League.

National First-Class Registered Architect, Chief Architect of Beijing Institute of Architectural Design, Design Supervisor at Tsinghua University School of Architecture, Part-time Professor of Architecture at Tianjin University, Visiting Professor at Central Academy of Fine Arts, Executive Member of the Chinese Higher Education Architecture Discipline Assessment Committee, Member of the Architecture Professional Committee of the Chinese Graduate Education Guidance Committee, Vice Chairman of the High-rise Architecture Academic Committee of the Architectural Society of China, Executive Director of the Urban Design Academic Committee of the Architectural Society of China, Executive Director of the Underground Space Academic Committee of the Architectural Society of China, Leader of the CTBUH World High-rise Residential Architecture Society Beijing Chapter, Distinguished Expert of the CTBUH World High-rise Residential Architecture Society, Winner of the FIDIC Excellent Architecture Award, and First Prize Winner of the Sphere BIM Architectural Design Award.

 

Yang Jinping

Professor-level Senior Architect, National First-Class Registered Architect. He serves as Vice Chief Architect at China Architecture Design & Research Group, Director of Architectural Design Institute No.7, and Master's Supervisor at China Architecture Design & Research Group. He is recognized as a leading figure in airport and TOD architectural design at China Science and Technology Construction Group. Additionally, he holds positions as Vice Chairman of the Stereoscopic City and Composite Building Professional Committee of the Architectural Society of China, and Expert of the Academic and Education Committee of the China Building Decoration Association. He also serves as an off-campus Master's Supervisor at Nanjing University School of Architecture, Southeast University School of Architecture, Beijing University of Architecture School of Architecture, and Shanghai Jiao Tong University School of Architecture.
