MA YANSONG


Beijing-born MA YANSONG is the first Chinese architect to win a major landmark building overseas, who is also the most internationally influential Chinese architect. Since the establishment of MAD Architects in 2004, he has been practicing the declaration of the future human habitat ideal in the world with his imaginative works such as "Monroe Building", Harbin Grand Theatre, Chaoyang Park Plaza, China Philharmonic Orchestra Concert Hall, Lucas Museum of Narrative Art in the United States, FENIX Museum of Immigration in Holland, and Shenzhen Bay Cultural Plaza, among others. He has held visiting professorships at Tsinghua University, Beijing Architecture University, and the University of Southern California, USA, and has been awarded an International Fellowship by the Royal Institute of British Architects, and was selected as a "Young World Leader" by the World Economic Forum.
